A camel driver that I photographed in the Great Thar Desert in western Rajasthan, India. The desert is a great place to spend the night sleeping under the stars. Absolutely quiet except for nature and as many stars as you wish to see.

Indian Street Food, South India

One of the highlights of going to India is certainly the food. Samosas are fried or baked pastry with a savory filling of often spiced potatoes, peas, onions and sometimes chicken or other meat. Here on Marina Beach in Chennai, South India, a food vendor creates a mound of mouth watering samosas. Check out this link for a samosa recipe.

Hundreds of locals stroll the beach in the evening and these street carts provide an array of snacking options. With the wind blowing strongly on this beach that faces the Bay of Bengal I will not be surprised if some of these snacks have a topping of sand on them .
