Wildlife at the Chambal River – Bhainsrorgarh Fort, Rajasthan

May 8, 2013  -  Fauna, Great Hotels

Yesterday, I shared some photos from my stay at Bhainsrorgarh Fort in Rajasthan, India. The evening of the day I arrived day, the owner of the fort, Hemendra, took us out on a boat ride on the Chambal river. The collection of wildlife in this place was amazing. Mainly birds. There is a small island on the river and it seems to be the home of so many variety of birds including large bats as well. It’s well worth it to go on a boat ride should you ever find yourself in this part of Rajasthan.

Hundreds of birds fill the sky at sunset as we paddle along the Chambal river.
