Photographer, Hindu priest and former monk

About Dandapani

Of Sri Lankan ancestry, Dandapani grew up in Australia. After graduating from university with a degree in Electrical Engineering he left it all behind to become a Hindu monk, living a life of serious personal discipline and training under the guidance of one of Hinduism's foremost spiritual leaders of our time, Sivaya Subramuniyaswami at his cloistered monastery in Hawaii.

It was in the monastery that he delved deeper into photography. Using the digital cameras that the monastery had, he mainly taught himself photography with wise insights from a few exceptional photographers he met as a monk.

10-years later when his vows expired he chose to venture out into the world on his own. He's made New York City his new home from where he travels around the world conducting training in self-development through workshops, retreats and exclusive coaching circles. In his travels he's passionate about taking photos...
